City Hall Fountain Named in Honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Canadian Platinum Jubilee Recipient and Mayoral Candidate, Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco passes Members Resolution at City of Vaughan Council to honour the late Queen Elizabeth II

VAUGHAN, ON (September 28, 2022) – Canadian Platinum Jubilee Recipient and Mayoral Candidate, Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco successfully passed a Members Resolution this evening to name the Vaughan City Hall fountain monument in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II. 

“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Canada’s longest-reigning Sovereign, is an inspiration to myself and all female leaders. Her vocation to public service will be honoured in the City of Vaughan by the naming of our courtyard fountain at City Hall. My hope is that citizens and visitors can take a moment and reflect upon the accomplishments of the late Queen Elizabeth II and her dedication to service at this serene monument and inspire future female leaders to answer the call of public service” said Sandra Yeung Racco.

Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco was also bestowed with a Canadian Platinum Jubilee pin by the Hon. Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, for her dedication of more than 18 years of public service, advocacy and advancing arts and cultural initiatives in the community.
