Thoughts and prayers are with Deb and family on the road to remission ahead
VAUGHAN, ON – The following statement was issued by Sandra Yeung Racco today upon learning that former Council colleague and respected public servant, Hon. Deb Schulte, withdrew from the Mayoral race:
“I was saddened to learn that my former Council colleague and respected public servant, Hon. Deb Schulte, withdrew her nomination for the Mayoral race due to health challenges. I know this decision did not come lightly and was extremely difficult for her to make.”
“Serving alongside Deb on Vaughan Council during the 2010-2014 term, she exemplified a true love for the City of Vaughan and the citizens she represented. She displayed strength and unwavering dedication in all that she championed, and I know she will come back stronger than ever from the treatments ahead because of these traits.”
“I respectfully wish Deb a safe and speedy recovery and look forward to continuing our public service journey together to champion the important priorities of our citizens. My thoughts and prayers are with Deb and her family on the road to remission ahead.”
